Randy Parton Theatre Step Closer to Opening at Carolina Crossroads

Roanoke Rapids, NC - Finding that perfect gift is now a little bit easier. Music artist Randy Parton announced today that gift certificates redeemable for two tickets to The Randy Parton Theatre are now available for a limited time at the Halifax County Visitor’s Center/Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce in Roanoke Rapids.

“We’ve had a number of inquiries from individuals interested in giving tickets to The Randy Parton Theatre to friends and loved ones for Christmas,” commented Lori Medlin, Executive Director of the Halifax County Tourism Development Authority. “These $50 gift certificates will make great stocking stuffers and are redeemable for an evening for two at The Randy Parton Theatre when it opens in 2007,” Medlin added.

Roanoke Valley residents and travelers along Interstate 95 can’t help but notice the tremendous progress being made on construction of the 45,000 square foot, 1,500 seat theater where Randy Parton will headline a live music variety show. Contractors are currently outfitting the inside of The Randy Parton Theatre, which is the cornerstone of the Carolina Crossroads Music & Entertainment District. The theater will be equipped with state-of-the art sound and lighting systems that is being touted as the finest east of Las Vegas.
“I’m excited about the shows we are lining up for next year,” commented Randy Parton, whose company, Moonlight Bandit Productions, is busy planning the 2007 theater schedule. “Our goal is to bring quality family entertainment to Northeastern North Carolina that will be similar to what you will find in Branson, Missouri and Pigeon Forge, TN,” Parton added.

A five-story Hilton Garden Inn and a Resort Vehicle Park are already under construction. “The hotel development will also help us encourage corporate groups to hold meetings at Carolina Crossroads during the day, see a show at The Randy Parton Theatre in the evening, and visit the many other attractions we have to offer in Halifax County,” said Medlin.

Gift certificates will be on sale November 30 through December 20 at the Halifax County Visitor’s Center/Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce located at 1640 Julian Allsbrook Highway in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
