New York-based author and former Child Magazine contributor resumes weekly Q&A and adds a semi-monthly column on “Modern Parenting”

ModernMom.com, a leading resource providing news, tips, and advice to today’s women, today announced that well-known Tribeca pediatrician Michel Cohen returns this week to resume his regular “Ask Dr. Michel” column. In addition, he will add another monthly feature focused on “Modern Parenting.”

Dr. Cohen is author of THE NEW BASICS: A-to-Z Baby & Child Care for the Modern Parent (ReganBooks / HarperCollins) and a founding partner of Tribeca Pediatrics, which is currently expanding into other New York neighborhoods in response to growing demand. One of his semi-monthly columns will cover a wide variety of topics, with emphasis on the issues parents ask about most frequently, including breastfeeding, sleeping, and toilet training. The other semi-monthly column will discuss controversial topics and refute pediatric “urban legends” such as the alleged link between thimerosal and autism, the alleged link between early fevers and allergies, ADD over diagnosis, the medicalization of breastfeeding, and others. A weekly Q&A will address specific questions from ModernMom.com's audience.

Most recently, Dr. Cohen contributed a monthly column called “Office Visit” to Child Magazine, where he addressed current issues in childcare in a lively, conversational manner.
