NYCA Makes iPod® Big as Life in New Ads for ViewSonic’s ViewDock.

Full-service marketing agency NYCA introduces ViewSonic’s ViewDock, the world’s first LCD display with integrated iPod docking station, through two new ads that show off its superior audio-visual qualities.
“The ViewSonic ViewDock work demonstrates to consumers that their beloved iPods can be an even bigger part of their lives with the ViewDock,” says Michael Mark, creative director/ceo of NYCA.
The “Kung Fu” print ad shows how the ViewDock can turn a handheld video into a full drive-in movie theater experience. The “Kung Fu” clip is in the display, suggesting it’s the movie screen, and cars are lined up to watch.
Similarly, the “Rocker” print ad depicts the ViewDock’s ability to transform a music video on an iPod into a dynamic concert experience. Again, the rocker is actually in the display, suggesting that he is onstage, surrounded by a concert crowd. There are two different online executions as well. “Life-size your iPod” shows the iPod and ViewDock coming together to heighten the concert-viewing experience, while “Every iPod wants to show off” features one lucky iPod connecting with the ViewDock.
The ads will launch in electronics publications including “TWICE,” “PC World,” “Wired” and “MacWorld,” and online on sites like MTV.com, VH1.com and MySpace.com.
