Oscar’s restaurant helps ‘Toast to Tony King’ to support the fight against cancer

Barrie, ON - November 29, 2006 – At Oscar’s, community is their business. That’s why on Saturday, December 2, 2006, Oscar’s restaurant helps celebrate Tony King’s 15 years of health and happiness since the bone marrow transplant that cured him of Leukemia — bringing local awareness and donations to the fight against cancer. Oscar’s will provide delicious gourmet fare to this amazing evening, hosted by the NHL’s Director of Hockey Operations and former NHL player, Kris King, who also happens to be Tony’s younger brother. Local band RUSTIC MOTIF kicks off the night in style, and attendees can participate in ‘Toasts and Roasts’ sharing stories about Tony, as well as bid on silent auction items, and learn more about bone marrow transplant and donation. The proceeds from this event will go to the Royal Victoria Hospital Simcoe-Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre.
