Davenport, Iowa November 27, 2006 – The Catholic Cowboy receives Best Country Gospel Song and Best Country Album of the Year at the 7th annual Unity Awards. Earl Flores, known as the Catholic Cowboy, was honored with the prestigious award of Country Gospel Song of the Year for his hit "Gonna Build a House". He then received the Best Country Album of the Year for "The Heart of a Catholic Cowboy".
The Unity Awards, launched by the Catholic Music and Video Association, presents awards to 49 categories from ranging from sacramental music, to hip hop, to country gospel music.
Earl Flores, a father, grandfather and husband from Encinitas, California, feels blessed to have been honored for his ability to write and sing songs that pulses with powerful motivation, desire, and his faith in God.
