PATLive Launches New Web Site Design

Tallahassee, FL. PATLive announced the launch of its new Web site: www.patlive.com. The company's revamped Web presence includes upgrades in graphics, text, system information, and user-friendliness. Completely new additions include free reports, partnership information, and system demonstrations. A Flash presentation will soon be added. PATLive IVR, the revamped PATLive Auto Attendant, and PATLive Virtual Fax services will debut on the site, as well.

PATLive's Web site was redesigned to improve the image of the company and to be more efficient in signing up new clients. "With a clearer and more concise layout, I expect visitors to be able to navigate our site more effectively. It should make it easier for them to get the information they want," said Victor D'Aurio, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

The site's design has been an entirely "in-house" project, with members of PATLive's Technology, Product Management, and Sales and Marketing departments participating. Since the beginning of this year, members of the Web site team met extensively to cover such topics as usability and Internet standards – they incorporated many of these concepts into the final version of the site, while also creating a cutting-edge interface.

From a technology perspective, the new Web site has migrated from legacy VBScript software into a state-of-the art ASP.NET application. Backend development now allows for rapid updates by either Sales and Marketing or Technology. PATLive can now communicate with its customers via press releases and articles that target its sector. The company will also begin its first-ever Web advertising campaign. "In the past, the Web has not served as a way for us to introduce potential customers to our company and services. Moving forward, we expect a significant increase in traffic, which should translate into additional revenue," said D'Aurio.

Now, when traffic reaches the Web site, customers will better understand the information that is found there. Sandi Gosnell, Director of Product Marketing, explained how graphics, text, demonstrations, and downloadable information should meet each visitor's learning preference: "You won't purchase what you don't understand. On the previous Web site, you really had to know what you wanted before you got to the site – otherwise, you would have a difficult time figuring out what we offered and why it should interest you." On the new site, customers have an easy, graphical way to see available services. The menus are laid out in a clear, logical order for easy navigation.

PATLive's Creative Services team played a fundamental role in customer knowledge. Graphic designer Jeremy Ashmore said, "Many of the site's visitors I've spoken to said they did not understand our services the way they were previously portrayed. I've tried to design the site to be more pleasing to the eye and more user-friendly." One way Ashmore did this was to create visual charts that accurately depict how PATLive's systems function. The Web site's text was also completely overhauled with customer comprehension in mind: "Many people unfamiliar with PATLive have difficulty grasping our services. We have carefully outlined each service in language that is professional in tone, but is also simple enough for everyone to understand," said copywriter Elizabeth Kelsey.

Senior Web Developer Miguel Gonzalez spoke on behalf of the team Thursday when he said: "I believe the new Web site will help promote PATLive's presence on the Internet and provide our potential customers with valuable information about our services. We were able to work with exciting new technologies and implement strategies to enhance usability and accessibility of the site. We hope to reach a large, targeted audience and help our Sales Department achieve its goals."
