CEE Announces New Charleston General Manager Mike Henderson

(SAVANNAH/CHARLESTON) Coastal Empire Exteriors (CEE) is proud to announce a new addition to their management team, Mike Henderson. Henderson is General Manager of the Charleston branch.

As General Manager, Henderson is focusing on the growth of CEE’s new territory in Charleston. Henderson says he works to ensure that every job is done right the first time, meeting and exceeding building codes, and is completed in a timely fashion. Henderson’s goal is that the customer will be happy for a lifetime.

“We take the risk out of home improvement” said Henderson. “I am looking forward to serving the Charleston and South Carolina market well into the future.” Coastal Empire Exteriors is planning to expand their territory to include Columbia, South Carolina.

Henderson moved to Charleston in July to launch the new territory. He has worked in the construction industry for over 10 years in many capacities. Prior to this, Henderson was working as Director of Sales Development for Four Seasons Sunrooms in Indiana.

The son of a father who served in the military, Henderson has lived in a number of places. Of these locations, the Charleston area really left an impression on him. According to Henderson, he is thrilled to be back in Charleston.

Henderson is an avid golfer and a PGA tour partner. In his free time he also enjoys playing the guitar. Henderson is married with seven children, ranging in age from 20 years old to one and a half.

Specializing in sunrooms, siding and replacement windows, Coastal Empire Exteriors is Savannah and the Low Country's leading home improvement company. In their first year CEE installed 33 sunrooms with sales over $700,000. Since opening their new showroom in October of 2002 their business has increased by 400%, having built over 1000 sunrooms and installing more than 8000 replacement windows. Sales in 2005 exceeded $8 million dollars.

CEE recently made the Inc. 500 list for fastest growing privately held companies in the USA in the September issue of Inc. Magazine. Other 2006 acknowledgements within the building industry include being named one of the Top 100 Contractors in the U.S. by Replacement Contractors magazine for the second year in a row and being listed at #168 in Qualified Remodelers magazine. Earlier this year CEE was named Southern Regional Operator of the Year by Four Seasons Sunrooms. In 2003, CEE was honored with the SBAC small business of the year award.

Coastal Empire Exteriors is owned by Kip and Sandy Lee. Sandy has a B.S. in education and taught kindergarten for 8 years before founding CEE with her husband Kip.
