John Morgan Wins "Mirror Image" Award for Bush Impersonation

Nashville, TN - Presidential impersonator John Morgan, "the Definitive President George W. Bush," was recently honored with the "Mirror Image" Award by the Sunburst Convention of Celebrity Impersonators at their annual national convention in Orlando, Fla., for most closely resembling the person he imitates. In addition to his two "Mirror Image" Award wins, the International Guild of Celebrity Impersonators awarded Morgan their 2005 Cloney award for "Best Historical Impersonation."Morgan, represented by The William Morris Agency, has had a banner year, performing at such faith-based events as the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards, the International Christian Retailers Convention, Christian Artists Seminar in the Rockies and Premier Christian Cruises’ Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise, as well as at several music festivals in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, Premiere Speakers Bureau has coordinated Morgan’s mainstream convention appearances this year with such clients as Bank of America, City of Hope and DentZone, as well as appearances at The New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orlando Auto Shows. Premiere Speakers Bureau is also currently developing a George Bush/Hillary Clinton comedy debate for 2007.

In early 2007, Morgan will be a featured performer on NewSong’s Winter Jam Tour featuring Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp and Hawk Nelson. The tour is scheduled to play before more than 250,000 people in 34 cities from January through March. Each night during his performance, Morgan will pick a member of the audience to win an electric scooter provided by tour sponsor ZAP automotive, the world leader in electric and hybrid vehicles. At the end of the Winter Jam Tour, a grand prize winner will be drawn from all the entries to receive a ZAP Xebra electric vehicle.
Morgan’s list of broadcast appearances includes such highlights as ABC’s "The View," NBC’s "Today Show," Fox News’ "Dayside," WB’s "The Daily Buzz" and CBN’s "The 700 Club." Since performing at President Bush’s 2005 Inauguration in Washington, D.C., he has shared the stage with such political pundits as Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, James Carville and former attorney general John Ashcroft.
