Dwight D. Brashear joins MV Transportation, Inc. as Regional Vice President

Fairfield, CA. —- MV Transportation, Inc. is pleased to announce Mr. Dwight D. Brashear has joined the company as Regional Vice President of Operations.

Dwight brings extensive transit management experience and a wealth of knowledge to MV. Prior to joining the company, Dwight served for two years as Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2005, he was tapped by Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to become the state transportation coordinator for the evacuation of the New Orleans area following Hurricane Katrina. In this capacity, he managed the use of school buses and other transportation resources from around the country during the emergency.

In October 2006, Dwight received the "Special Award for Extraordinary Leadership" for his work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) during its annual conference.

Dwight’s extensive transit experience will add increased value to MV and to his new role as Regional Vice President. He will be responsible for supervising and guiding seven MV divisions in southern and central California, including operations in the city and county of Tulare, Fresno, Visalia, Hanford, Morro Bay and Santa Maria.

Dwight spent 17 years at San Diego Transit before heading to Baton Rouge and served two years as General Manager for American Transportation Co.
