Century Group, Inc. establishes itself as a major leader in environmental protection products for railroad spill containment and collection systems.

According to Century Group President, Rusty Vincent, the railroad products division has installed numerous spill control and containment systems across the nation. In October 2006, Magellan Oil of Minneapolis, MN installed the HDPE Enviropans along a 910 track foot section of their tank and railcar crude oil transloading facility. Additionally, in September, Century supplied Enviropans to a Bio-Diesel Facility for their rail transloading area. And in August, Century manufactured a custom precast retention basin with a capacity of about 21,000 gallons for Sasol USA. This unit had complicated design requiring a three piece stacking unit with baffles, control gates and wiers. Each piece was constructed of 5,000 p.s.i. concrete and weighed 31,000 pounds. These projects and many others completed by Century Group have demonstrated their design, engineering and construction expertise and raised their level of credibility in the railroad spill and containment market.

Century has developed patented systems under the name of Enviropans specifically for railroad spill collection and railroad spill containment, as well as railcar wash facilities and rail transloading racks. Most of their containment systems are available in steel, concrete and High Density Polyethylene Enviropans (HDPE), and can be engineered to specific design requirements in any railroad application.

Century Group began its business in 1942 when its founder developed the concept of precast steps, a process which Century has refined and patented over the years.
