CALTON COFFIE SERVES IT UP HOT IN ARIZONA

HOLLYWOOD – The Grammy award winning, platinum & gold selling smooth & sexy voice of the one and only International reggae superstar Calton Coffie and his band will be in the desert of Arizona to heat things UP! Best known as the co-writer and lead vocalist for the Grammy Award-winning Cops Theme song, “Bad Boys.” The perennially popular song from the album of the same name can be heard nightly on the internationally syndicated television series “Cops,” as well as in the movies “Minority Report,” “Bad Boys,” and “Beverly Hills Cop III.” As the lead vocalist of the musical group Inner Circle, he recorded six albums, including “Bad Boys.” His international chart topper, the hit record “Sweat, A, La, La, Long,” became the most-played record ever in Germany.

Nov. 16th Calton Coffie is welcomed by members of the White Mountain Apache Tribe for the premier of live reggae at Memorial Hall in Whiteriver, AZ. This night For Lover’s Concert series is presented by production team of Kings Promotions / Tim-ache. Nov. 18 Calton Coffie will perform live in a Concert For Lover’s at the Mardi Gras in Scottsdale, AZ. Both of these AZ shows will also include 21 Bone (NY), Kind Dread (Phoenix) & Hayllet n Myah.

In 1995, following a serious illness, Coffie left Inner Circle, and recorded solo albums with Gator Records in 1998 and 2000. Coffie’s latest solo album is “Hot Cup of Calton Coffie.” This release offers fans more of his familiar, rich vocals and rhythmic reggae beat. “Hot Cup of Calton Coffie” features 18 original songs written by Coffie. Born in London, Calton came to Kingston, Jamaica, at the age of five, when his parents returned to their native country. There he learned the Jamaican style made popular by Eric Monty Morris and Bob Marley, and the R & B from the likes of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, Chuck Jackson and Marvin Gaye. Coffie came to the United States in 1973. He served eight years in the U.S. Army before leaving it to pursue his dream of a professional music career. During the next two decades, he recorded eight albums, earned numerous gold and platinum albums and singles, and set international chart records. Following his 1993 Grammy Award for “Bad Boys,” he was again nominated for the album “Reggae Dancer” in 1994. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Sharon and travel between Jamaica and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
