BEANYWHERE 2.0 - NEW VERSION OF THE REMOTE DESKTOP SOLUTION RELEASED

BeAnywhere released today it’s brand new version 2.0. BeAnywhere is a Remote Desktop and File Transfer solution that allows the user to see, access and control a remote computer through the internet.

BeAnywhere 2.0 represents a major step-up in development, and it’s now completely web based, with a user-friendly interface, easier setup and automatic configuration. All the user needs to do is to create an account and add a computer to his account. From that moment on he will be able to access that same computer from anywhere in the world, see it’s screen and control the mouse and keyboard as if he was sitting in front of it.

Aside from this great shift to a web based interface, BeAnywhere 2.0 also includes some important additional new features, that will complete the product’s portfolio. Adding to the existing Remote Desktop and File Transfer features, the user is now able to:

• Share and Email Large files – by emailing a personal url for download
• Guest Invite – setting the guest’s permissions and access level
• Sync Files – choosing a folder on his computer and keeping it always up to date to the latest changes on its files.

“This new version is a major step up for BeAnywhere”, says Ruben Dias, the company’s CEO. “The development effort made on the new network architecture was huge, but we expect that this new version, due to it’s simplicity and user friendly interface will attract many new users quickly”.

BeAnywhere released its first version in July 2005, and has now over 5500 registered users. The company expects to achieve 50000 users within 6 months.

BeAnywhere offers a 30 day trial period after which, if you decide to continue using the service, you are required to register your copy. On registration, you decide between a monthly subscription (US$7.95) and a full year package (US$79.50).
