Studio Corno joins Russell Bedford as Member Firm in Milan

Russell Bedford International, the worldwide network of independent accounting firms, has appointed Studio Corno as its member firm in Milan, Italy.

Founded in 1948 by Giacomo Corno, Studio Corno began by offering traditional management consulting services to small and medium-sized companies in the industrialised Milan-Brianza area in northern Italy. Over the years it has expanded its scope of activities, fields of expertise and the range of services offered, becoming a multi-discipline accounting, legal and business consulting practice with strong emphasis on internationalisation. It has particularly strong competences in relation to the Chinese market.

Studio Corno now has more than 60 personnel, of whom some 45 are professionally qualified.

A key step in the development of the practice was the foundation, in 1978, of CIS Centro Studi d’Impresa (Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies) – a training centre aimed at promoting the development of international training and research activities.

The Studio’s accounting and business consulting wing is managed by Fabio Corno, who became a partner in 1983.

Fabio graduated in Economics and Business from Bocconi University, Milan. He has an MBA from Columbia University, New York and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from George Washington University, Washington DC. He also studied Business Economics and Russian Studies at Harvard University. He is now a university professor in the areas of accounting and business administration at Milano-Bicocca University. Fabio has been Associate Professor of Accounting at Cattaneo University, Castellanza, since 1998. He has been a member of the Bocconi University faculty since 1983. He is a visiting professor at Bochum University and Justus Liebig University at Giessen (Germany), Hitotsubashi and Keio Universities (Tokyo, Japan), and Columbia Business School (USA).

Studio Corno’s services in the accounting field include: tax assistance for private individuals and businesses; accounting and auditing; corporate reviews; management control systems; employment consultancy; M&A assistance; assistance with internationalisation; and real estate management.

In 1991 Studio Corno - Avvocati, the Studio’s legal services wing, was established. It is headed by Giorgio Corno and now has eight qualified lawyers. It is a member of the international legal network LAWorld.

The Studio’s headquarters are in Lissone, some 15km north of Milan. The training centre is located in Valmadrera, in a 19th Century villa with its own parkland overlooking Lake Lecco.
