Golden Tulip Hospitality will operate the system on a central, multi-property platform; which provides suitable functionality for centralized operations. Golden Tulip Hamburg Aviation and Tulip Inn Düsseldorf – Arena, will be the first operated properties on the new Golden Tulip central PMS platform, which will be hosted in the Amadeus Data-centre in the greater Munich area. The benefits include:
· A centralized and integrated PMS, Conference, Sales & Marketing and International Finance Management System (back-office system) for seamless data and reporting integrity.
· Central management of guest data, reservations, rates, check in & check out, invoicing, reporting, analysis for the sales & marketing area, conference & event management and financial management.
· Increase cross-selling and guest recognition capabilities.
· Savings on capital expenditure in terms of hardware and software.
Hans Kennedie, President & CEO of Golden Tulip Hospitality comments: “We have found in Amadeus a true technology partner who specializes in the hospitality sector. As we continue to expand in both operated and franchised properties, we found the need to centralize and streamline property management systems as a means to increase service levels, brand loyalty, and operations standards.”
Richard Kürzl, Managing Director Amadeus Hospitality in Germany adds: “We know that besides a hotel’s location and a couple of other parameters, being successful in the hotel business nowadays has a lot to do with providing an excellent guest experience. An experience that grants a space for Golden Tulip in the guest’s memory if you wish. And our solutions are designed to help increase service levels by giving hotel staff tools that keep them well-informed about guests’ preferences, up-selling options and anything that helps a hotel to grow business and to improve the brand experience for its guests. All our solutions are ASP-ready and can be hosted via the Amadeus data centre in Erding, one of Europe's largest civilian data processing centres, configured to provide round the clock failsafe availability. The data centre processes 180 million transactions per day - and at peak times 4 million transactions per second, with a 99,9% availability.”
“The current telecommunications topography raises the opportunity for more and more systems to be run remotely, thus allowing local area networks to be relieved from critical application servers. This translates in efficient technology solutions at the property level, where thin clients replace the high costs involved with local server deployments.” Explains Riko van Santen, Director of Electronic Distribution & ICT of Golden Tulip Hospitality
