By the time Effusion barely reached legal voting age, he was already on the international music circuit. The debut album release of Effusion “Blue Illusions” took place in 1997. This instrumental album expressed European melodic arrangements with clash of upbeat drums and slight hints of spoken words. In 1999 Effusion decided to take the “Blue Illusion” one step further and incorporated lyrics. The side project is called 5th Element “Blue Rain” which includes the soulful vocals of Lynn Walton.Summer of 2001 brought about Effusion’s second CD, “Impulse”. Effusion experimented with his songwriting abilities with “Impulse”. Three videos were relesased along with the CD. To better equip you with the feel of “Impules”, here is a quote from Music Connection Magazine:
“…tranquil acoustic-type pop with lots of exotic world music flavor. The production quality is crystal clear and captures the exotic vibe very well. Musicianship is impressive … this is the kind of music that will not rock your world – just make it a more soothing place to live.”
In 2002 Effusion’s third CD, “Mystery”, unveiled a more dynamic and expressive work. The blend of pulsating synth-lines, screeching guitars and harmonic vocals, gives the listener an unmistakable Effusion groove. The simple lyrics exude emotion that will draw you under its spell.
This brings us to our current time frame, with Effusion’s latest CD, “How I Feel”. Once again Effusion has out done himself with his most personal and expressive work to date. The forth Effusion album titled “How I Feel” is a vocally driven endeavor that displays a side of Effusion that has never been heard or seen before. The blend of melodic strings, moody guitar phrases, pulsating drums and harmonic vocals will drive your senses to a level of rapture. This CD takes you through a ride that ranges from dark and mysterious, to sexy and seductive. A description of the sound could be put in these words: Dido dates Radiohead, cheats with ColdPlay, falls in love with Depeche Mode while listening to Sting, and their love child is EFFUSION.
