New Industrial Tag Stock Simplifies Safety and Identification Tags

Graphic Products announced today the availability of DuraTag Tag Stock. Supplied as rolls in either two inch or four inch widths, DuraTag Tag Stock can be custom printed and cut using the DuraLabel 4TTP printer. DuraLabel Marketing Manager Steve Hudgik notes that, "There is no longer a need to purchase, store and organize preprinted tags. Tags can be printed on demand and customized to meet the tagging requirements of specific applications."

What makes this possible is unique DuraTag tag stock material. It is a high density polyethylene material that has been extruded, stretched, bias cut and cross laminated into a composite structure. The result is a plywood-like polyolefin sheet that is extremely tough, tear resistant and completely waterproof. Unaffected by most chemicals, DuraTag tag stock has a wide service temperature range and provides an extended outdoor life. It is non-toxic, orderless and can be recycled or incinerated.

DuraTag tag stock is so tough that a tag can be printed, a hole punched using an ordinary office hole punch, and the tag hung using a zip tie without the need for a grommet. The result is that tags can be quickly printed and hung, saving manhours. Since each tag can be custom printed, the information on the tag will always be clear and easy to read, eliminating safety hazards resulting from unreadable, handwritten tags. With the strength not to tear, even when nicked, DuraTag tag stock is the heavy-duty choice when making industrial quality tags.

Uses for DuraTag tag stock include both safety and identification applications such as valve tags, signs on cyclone fences, to tagout circuit breakers, or to identify equipment needing repair. It can also be used to create shipping tags, to identify work-in-progress, to create tags with safety, operating or maintenance information, and for component identification.

DuraTag tag stock is printed using the DuraLabel 4TTP thermal transfer printer. This is a 300 dpi, industrial quality label and sign printer. Tags can be custom designed on a PC to include the appropriate text and graphics for each application.
