Rebuilding lives and restoring communities in post-conflict Lebanon. With many communities still facing a dire lack of food, medicine, and sanitary hygienic systems, CHF International has been working to provide vulnerable families the resources needed to survive and the tools and services that will help them get back on their feet for the long-term.Through the support of the United States office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) and private donations, CHF International has been implementing the Humanitarian Assistance in Lebanon Programs which:
• Distribute relief items such as bedding, hot meals, and lifesaving medical supplies to displaced families;
• Restore and rebuild basic infrastructure for access to clean drinking water and health systems to mitigate the speed of disease in devastated communities; and
• Conduct local employment and job creation activities for displaced individuals as the transition back to their communities, while helping curb the sense of hopelessness in post-conflict settings.
