Lehman, Lee & Xu Enters Into Cooperation With Macau University Of Science & Technology (Must)

Beijing, China – LEHMAN, LEE & XU has started a cooperative relationship with the Macau University of Science & Technology (MUST) in an initiative headed by Law Faculty Dean, David Smith (former Dean of Hong Kong University’s Law Faculty, and Dean of Harvard Law School for 25 years), and the Firm’s managing director, Edward Lehman. LEHMAN, LEE & XU is honored by the cooperation, and hopes that its experience as the leading IP firm in China will allow it to contribute both to the university and the Special Administrative Region of Macau. The firm intends to create a "hands on" learning experience for future Macanese Intellectual Property lawyers.The program, sponsored by MUST and LEHMAN, LEE & XU’s educational fund, as well as the Macau Special Administration Region government, itself (the first time for such a sponsorship in the region’s history) will cover a wide range of issues related to Intellectual Property, from a General Introduction of IP to a detailed investigation of various IP protections (trademarks, patents, and copyrights), comparing the different systems in China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and the EU.
IP is becoming a very important topic in Macau with more than US$20 billion expected to come into the region in the next ten years.
