Small Scottish software company shows signs of early growth

Anderson Toomey Limited, a software company based in Scotland, quietly released its first global product in June 2006. Called Community in a Box the product is designed for use by families and friends and it enables them to communicate and share photos and other file types in a secure and safe environment.

However, already the product is attracting attention and users from other user types. Sports clubs and small businesses have started to sign-up for the free product. “Anyone with an associate or friend has a use for Community in a Box”, says George Anderson the companies Technical Director.

From very small beginnings the product has grown from six test communities from the development stage. This growth has really surprised the company as to date the product has had no advertising. All the growth has been organic word of mouth. So far Community in a Box has communities in Australia, Canada, England, Finland, Germany, Mauritius, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and USA.

We also have visitors to community in a box from the following countries:
China, France, Hong Kong, Islamic Republic of Iran, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Thailand.

Page impressions and unique visits are showing monthly growth figures of 25%. Though starting from a small base this is encouraging for the future of the product, which the company believes is still fairly different from any similar type of offering out there on the web.
