WARE MALCOMB DESIGNS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA’S BEST OFFICE PROJECT

(November 2006) San Ramon, California – Ware Malcomb, leading national architecture, planning, interior design and graphic design firm with offices in Northern California, is proud to announce that The Golden 1 Credit Union Corporate Headquarters was honored with the Best of California 2006 Award for Best Office Design in Northern California by California Construction Magazine. The award ceremony will take place on December 6, 2006 at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco.

The San Ramon and West Sacramento offices worked together in the design of both the interior and exterior of the office building. The new headquarters, located in Sacramento, California, was designed to house the 6th largest credit union in the United States, and allow for further expansion over the next ten years. The building stands six stories tall, 200,000 square feet total, and is a steel framed Class “A” office building. Three story tall palm trees line the front of the building, making the headquarters stand out among the two and three story buildings in the surrounding area.

The project was built by McCarthy Building Companies, LLC’s location in Roseville, California and was completed in April of 2006.
