Laughing Gas Presents "Instant Tax Comic Relief" April 15th-16th

March 17, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
The Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company is working hard to provide "Instant Tax Relief" in two nights of unmitigated laughter at the deductable expense of the IRS and with comedy that will actually try to make sense of the Tax Code. Their shows on Friday and Saturday nights (April 15th-16th) at the Main Street Playhouse (6766 Main Street, Miami Lakes) start at 11pm and will provide itemized comedy for 90 minutes that are unaudited and will have the audience asking for an extension.

"We have no wish to be audited because of this," says Laughing Gas cast member Todd Rice. "The IRS has a good sense of humor about these things, don't they? Please tell me they do!"

Audience members will enjoy and participate in Laughing Gas classic pieces and some new ones such as Deductions and the IRS Interrogation.

"We have a long history of comedy that brings laughter and educates at the same time," according to Gerald Owens, the Director for Laughing Gas. "Nothing is more laughable or requires more education than our system of taxes."

Over the past several months, Laughing Gas has performed shows to "Improv The Vote", lampooned pop-culture and helped with their "Improv-ing The Community" campaign raising money for charities. Laughing Gas has been picked as a Social Miami "Pick of the Week" several times for their themed shows and is regularly recognized for its socially relevant material. Laughing Gas was also honored as Best Short-Form Improv Troupe at the Improv Miami Prizes 2004.
