Brute force couldn’t stop or subdue Brian Nichols, fugitive and alleged murderer and rapist in the Atlanta courthouse escapee case. However, Ashley Smith, 26, new American hero and mom used intuition, feminine energy and reading from Rick Warren’s 2002 bestseller “The Purpose Driven Life” to save her life. Nichols went peacefully into custody Saturday after a 26-hour race against the clock to prevent further bloodshed. Denise Michaels, 47, author of the forthcoming book, “Testosterone-Free Marketing: The Yin and Yang of Marketing for Women” (Personal Transformation Press) says, “Smith used her feminine energy and intuition to get what she wanted in a harrowing situation. While police were confounded trying to ensnare this viciously violent man, Smith convinced Nichols to give himself peacefully to law officials.”
It may seem unusual to connect Smith with a book about business for women, however Michaels is convinced Smith did the selling job of her life to walk away unharmed in the event that gripped the nation last week. “I’m confident when women act in masculine ways they rarely get the results they seek. Smith used the feminine by gaining trust and the masculine by asking for what she wanted – to see her five year old daughter.”
Michaels’ book, written to target the 10.6 million American women who own home-based businesses says, “My experience coaching over 1,200 people in marketing the last four years has taught me women who start businesses often shy away from marketing. When they let go of trying to be like a man and lead with their strengths including discovering the core values of their customers the results can be remarkable. Nichols’ was Smith’s ‘customer’ and she handled the circumstances with grace under fire.”
“In summary, as men and women we’re different in how we use our skills to survive and thrive. While men scratch their heads trying to figure out how this soft-spoken, 26 year old blonde overcame her captor women everywhere are chalking up another victory to the sometimes surprising power of feminine intuition and trust,” says Michaels.
Michaels is available for interviews and expert commentary regarding her unconventional views regarding marketing, human behavior and the new roles of women and how it relates to this case.
