Santa Comes Early At Invent-Tech With New Lighted Santa Hat Licensing Deal

(MIAMI, FL) Indiana inventor, Patricia G., approached Invent-Tech with a prototype for a fun and festive invention in November 2005. In October 2006, Patricia finalized and secured a long-term licensing agreement for her product, the Lighted Santa Hat, which promotes a celebratory atmosphere and attitude during the Christmas season. With its simple, affordable design, the Lighted Santa Hat has international mass-market appeal for children, teenagers and adults to celebrate Christmas and Old Saint Nick.

According to the terms of the multi-year agreement, the licensee has already begun tooling with the goal of showcasing this product at a leading industry trade event in early 2007. Additional agreement terms include competitive royalties with variable rates depending on the location of sales and possible 2nd party licensing arrangements.

Prior to the manufacturer’s final decision to license the Lighted Santa Hat, Invent-Tech contracted with a registered patent attorney for a patentability opinion. Also, pursuant to the inventor’s inventor assistance contract, Invent-Tech will cover all costs involved in securing intellectual property rights for the Lighted Santa Hat.
