FOR DJO, INCORPORATED’S WORLD HEADQUARTERS

Vista, California – Ware Malcomb is a national design firm offering planning, architecture, interior and graphic design services to commercial real estate clients throughout the United States and Mexico. The firm’s San Diego office is proud to announce that design and construction are completed for DJO, Incorporated’s World Headquarters located within the Vista Oaks Business Park at 1430 Decision Street in Vista, California. The project is being developed by The PRES Companies of Newport Beach, California, a full service integrated commercial real estate firm

DJO, Incorporated is a global medical device company specializing in the design, manufacture and marketing of rehabilitation and regeneration products and services for the non-operative orthopedic and spine markets.

Ware Malcomb provided planning, architectural and interior design services for the project, which includes an 110,000 square foot, two-story build-to-suit office and light manufacturing building. The building serves as DJO, Incorporated’s World Corporate Headquarters and includes a two-story lobby with a custom reception desk, elevator and grand stairway, offices, a full service gym, locker rooms, cafeteria and a Clinical Education and Research Facility (CERF) lab. There is also an executive suite with offices, a conference room and balcony overlooking an exterior terrace. The remaining project space includes about 15,000 square feet of light manufacturing.

Swinerton Builders of San Diego, California served as the General Contractor for the project. Construction was completed in July, 2006 with an estimated construction cost of $15,000,000. The Grand Opening of the facility was held on September 16, 2006.
