Convos, LLC, a New York City-based internet startup recently announced the upcoming release of an internet-enabled service designed for individuals and groups to easily communicate, collaborate, and organize. The service, called Convos, was developed out of frustrations with the current technology landscape, which is often characterized by information overload and redundancy, multiple points of contact, outdated and unreliable information, as well as a growing need to better organize and secure data. According to Randall Kane, Managing Partner at Acquis Consulting Group, “these problems exist at both the individual and organizational level, and we are hopeful that Convos can alleviate many of them.”
Key to the Convos philosophy is that technology should be leveraged to make life simpler, not more complex. In this regard, Convos allows users to perform many of their daily online activities in a single, simplified interface. The technology is intuitive and easy to use and Convos believes that this simplicity will have strong, widespread appeal.
“By eliminating many of the excessive features that are common in applications today, and standardizing functionalities, Convos attempts to streamline the organization of information,” commented Convos founder, JP Checa. For this reason, the firm refers to the application as a “life organization tool.”
While the application is under development, the management team has launched an interim website at www.convos.com, providing an overview of the product along with blog posts and videos.
The Convos application will be launching in early 2007.
