Walt Disney Records is Pumpin' Up the Party with the Hannah Montana Soundtrack

BURBANK, Calif.—October 28, 2006 Walt Disney Records releases the highly anticipated soundtrack to Disney Channel's hit original series Hannah Montana on Tuesday, October 24. The Hannah Montana Soundtrack features music from the #1 series and a music DVD (while supplies last) with five concert videos. An episodic DVD from Disney's Buena Vista Home Entertainment also will be released on October 24.

Wal-Mart and Sam's Club will present an exclusive Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana "In Concert" special on its in-store Wal-Mart TV Network on Saturday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. The special includes "behind-the-scenes" footage of tween star Miley Cyrus. Beginning October 31, 2006, viewers can stream the concert special online at Walmart.com (www.walmart.com/music). In addition, the digital album will be available online for download at Walmart.com beginning October 24, 2006 and includes an exclusive bonus video, "I Got Nerve."

The soundtrack features eight songs performed by Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana, including the Hannah Montana theme song "The Best of Both Worlds," "Who Said," "Just Like You," "Pumpin' Up the Party," "If We Were a Movie," "I Got Nerve," "The Other Side of Me" and "This Is the Life." Also featured on the Hannah Montana Soundtrack is the duet "I Learned from You," performed by Miley and her real-life and on-screen father, multi-platinum-selling country music star Billy Ray Cyrus (Robby Stewart in Hannah Montana). Matt Gerrard, Andy Dodd & Adam Watts, Jaime Houston, and Andrew Lane & Eddie Galan, who all produced on Disney's "High School Musical", the highest selling album of the year, have once again lent their expertise on production to the "Hannah Montana Soundtrack". Additional tracks from and inspired by the series include "Pop Princess" performed by The Click Five, "She's No You" performed by Hollywood Records recording artist Jesse McCartney, "Find Yourself in You" performed by Buena Vista/Hollywood Records recording artist Everlife and "Shining Star" performed by B5. The music DVD (available while supplies last) features five Hannah Montana concert videos – "Best of Both Worlds," "Who Said," "Just Like You," "Pumpin' Up the Party" and "The Other Side of Me."
