UBU Products Announces Online Design Program for Personalized Stationery Products
October 28, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Agoura, CA — UBU Products began from the bedroom of Cindy Rotberger 12 years ago, and now dealers and online affiliates can share in her success in the personalized stationery business.UBU’s trademark is a little smiling stick figure that customers can tailor to suit an interest, occupation or trait. There are 386 stick figure poses in all, from a flexing stick figure fitness enthusiast with barbell in hand to a reclining stick figure mermaid with seaweed lei. There are teachers, optometrists, accountants, wedding couples, schoolchildren, tennis players and guitarists — even priests and rabbis.
UBU offers more than 25 products that can be personalized, including, but not limited to stationery, note cards, stickers, pillow cases, aprons, memo pads, t-shirts, lunch bags, blank checks, luggage tags, tote bags, rubber stamps, recipe cards and address labels. There are even made-to-order cookies.
Retailers are given their own web site where they can create personalized products for their customers, or even allow their customers to have fun creating the product themselves. It is fast, convenient, and provides an instant “proof” of the finished product before the order is finalized.
“The only way for the public to order UBU Products is through one of our dealers. We do not sell direct to the public, which creates a great opportunity for retailers. You can now design your order online, and see your proof instantly before you confirm your order. The UBU EZ Online Design System is easy to use, convenient, and lots of fun. Many retailers let their customers sit down at a computer and create their own designs, or their customers can create their own products from the privacy of their own home,” explained Rotberger.
A special demo that shows how the program works has been set up for dealers who are interested in marketing this product or obtaining licensing information on using a variation of the program. The demo is located at http://www.UBUProducts.com.
"This program will change and revolutionize the way UBU and our dealers across the country do business," said Rotberger. "Allowing users to see their finished product will enhance the user experience and decrease potential hesitations customers could have when ordering product sight unseen. We expect customers to order additional variations of our products once they see how great it looks on the site."
UBU has been featured on the NBC "Today Show," ABC's "The View," and has been seen in "Greetings Etc.", "Seventeen", "Rolling Stone', "New Yorker", and "Mens' Journal" magazines.
