New film added to popular serie

A Yorkshire-based film company has just launched its fifth movie about the county – and they are predicting it will be another best-seller.

The series of films are travel documentaries which have proved to be especially popular with foreigners and ex-pats as well as people in this country looking for an unusual present.

Steve Lord, who runs production outfit ChromaVision which made ‘North York Moors - A Land for all Seasons’, said: “We usually get lots of requests from people who have bought some of our other films and already people are showing a lot of interest from around the world waiting for this one to be released.

“This time we have focused on the North York Moors because they provide such a stunning and scenic backdrop to the work we do.

“Other films have focused on people and their special skills in the county but we have responded to viewers feedback and concentrated on creating a film that shows off the Moors at their best.”

Steve and his hard-working crew spent many days throughout the year capturing the spirit and images of the Moors as well as the coastal part of the National Park to make the film which has been scripted by well-known Yorkshire-based author Terry Marsh.

Steve added: “We spent a long time in all sorts of weather trying to capture the flavour of what the Moors are about and then many more in the edit suite putting it all together. I think we’ve done a pretty good job.”

The firm’s videos are sold through tourist information centres and many other outlets but they do a very good trade on the internet where people can view a trailer of the firm’s work at http://www.yorkshirevideo.co.uk.

Steve said: “I’m really proud of the county and I’m very pleased that so many people around the world learn more about what we have to offer through our films. Many people who used to live here, or have visited Yorkshire, really do like what we do to keep as a memento.”
