MasterLink Announces Availability of Free New Yahoo Sitemap Creator

MasterLink, a top ranking Dallas web design & web site development company is pleased to announce a new tool for generating sitemaps to be submitted to Yahoo. The Yahoo Sitemap Creator tool is available for use free on their Search Engine Marketing website at http://www.search-engine-marketing-services.net/Google_to_Yahoo_sitemap_creator.asp. The tool was developed out of the necessity to generate a text file listing each URL on a separate line, as required by Yahoo. Google uses an XML file and there a plenty of resources to generate the XML file. Creating the text file for Yahoo previously would need to be created manually.

For any URL, either directly submitted or obtained from a feed, Yahoo's crawler will extract links and find pages they have not discovered already. This script allows you to take any XML Google sitemap and extract the URLs for use in a URL feed submission to Yahoo. Yahoo will use this information to be able to identify all of the pages in the site so that they are able to index any pages missed while crawling your site.
