LOGAN, Utah – October 20, 2006 – Bright yellow and black Reminderband wristbands dot the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” construction site as production team members and community volunteers busily prepare the home and yard for this morning’s demolition of the Pauni home.

“Many of the volunteers who work on filming days will receive an official “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” t-shirt to help set them apart and acknowledge their participation in the project,” said Kent Wuthrich, marketing and public relations consultant for Kartchner Homes. “Countless volunteers have helped us prepare for the demolition and will provided food and security all week out of the limelight and behind the rolling cameras. These bands are a great way for us to build team spirit on-site and acknowledge the many volunteers who will never receive a shirt.”

The volunteer wristbands are bright yellow and have both the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” logo emblazed in black.

The customized silicone wristbands will be given to volunteers beginning Tuesday morning as volunteers sign in at the check-in tent and to many of the catering crews and members of the security staff. Utah State University student volunteers on campus are also accepting one dollar donations for the bracelets and all proceeds will benefit the Pauni family.

“Reminderband wristbands are often used for big events and to show support for an individual or cause,” said Jeff Morgan, director of operations for Reminderband. “We are proud and excited to provide this customized wristband exclusively for the Logan volunteers involved in ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.’”
