Member Named Associate Dean At N.C. State University
Dr. K. Shannon Davis Appointed As Associate Dean For
Undergraduate Programs In The College of Management

RALEIGH, N.C. – Terry Bradley, president of the Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association (RWHRMA), has announced that RWHRMA member Dr. K. Shannon Davis has been appointed as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the College of Management at North Carolina State University. In addition to her new administrative role, Dr. Davis will remain in her current position as a tenured professor of human resource management in the department of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at N.C. State. Dr. Davis has taught for more than 15 years at the university level including both graduate and undergraduate courses, and was named an Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor at State in 2006.

“We are excited about this new appointment for Dr. Davis,” said Bradley. “She has been an active member of RWHRMA since she joined in 1993 and has frequently delivered our certification courses, and we are pleased to see that her continuing commitment to human resources management is reflected by her newest position.”

About Dr. K. Shannon Davis:
K. Shannon Davis, Ph.D., MBA, SPHR, has been faculty advisor and human resources games coach for the N.C. State student chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) – recognized as a leading chapter at the national level – for more than 13 years. She was named SHRM Foundation Faculty Advisor of the Year in 2003. Dr. Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and personnel administration from James Madison University, an MBA from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D. in human resources from the University of Maryland. She lives in Cary with her husband and daughter.
