November 15 Deadline Approaches for 2006 SongDoor Songwriting Competition

NASHVILLE, TENN., USA - October 18, 2006 — The SongDoor 2006 International Songwriting Competition entry deadline is November 15. Entrants can complete the entire entry process, including song and lyric uploads, through the SongDoor website or mail entries in.“We’ve had entries from Birmingham to Berlin to Bosnia,” explains SongDoor president Tony Zotta. “Our judges are looking forward to listening, and to choosing a winner,” though he adds it won’t be easy, as there have been many outstanding entries so far.
Everyone who enters receives a free self-paced online songwriting course from SongU.com, and each song receives a free professional critique, both with no obligation. The Grand Award package is worth approximately $3,000 USD. The fee is $10 USD per entry. Mailed entries must be postmarked by November 15, 2006; online entries will be accepted until midnight, November 15, 2006 (Central Standard Time, US).
