MV Transportation, Inc. Executive Elected Secretary of APTA Human Resources Committee

San Jose, California – Sean Kimble, Executive Vice President of Human Resources for MV Transportation, Inc., was recently elected Secretary of the Human Resources Committee for the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) during the organization’s Annual Meeting.

Kimble, who will serve a two-year term in his new capacity, has served as a member of APTA’s HR committee since 2005, as well as on the Labor Relations subcommittee.

Kimble states, “It was an honor to be nominated by my fellow committee members to serve on this very important APTA committee. I very much look forward to working with the team to tackle some of the people challenges that face our industry. Our projects include promoting diversity, creating the HR education for the 2007 APTA annual meeting, establishing training and development standards as well as various recruitment and career development projects”.

The APTA Human Resources Committee provides a forum which promotes leadership, innovation, collaboration and information sharing among public transportation professionals at all levels who are interested in the development of human resources needs, programs, services, and support that are needed to make the transit industry successful. The committee works to assist its members with their roles as effective change agents and strategic business leaders within APTA's member organizations. The committee make-up represents a wide diversity of APTA members, expertise, interests and successes.
Kimble joined MV in March 2005 and directs the HR efforts for more than 10,000 employees. Prior to joining the company, Sean was Vice President of Human Resources for the Charles Schwab Corporation and has served as Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations for Levi Strauss.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Sacramento, a MBA from St. Mary's College and has completed some post-graduate studies at the University of Michigan.
