HARVEYS: Tree-think, Tree-use, Tree-cycle bag!

With an estimated 40,000,000 cars produced each year you can imagine the mountains of surplus seatbelt sent to the scrap heap. HARVEYS has tapped into this resource with an environmentally conscious solution they‚ve dubbed the „tree-cycle‰ bag. Each bag is constructed in a mix of auto interior colors and is available in 3 silhouettes.

The pre-release of the tree-cycle bag will take place at the OsCene: Contemporary Art and Culture in Orange County at the Laguna Art Museum on October 28th from 7-10 pm. Dana Harvey is a featured artist and will showcase the bags as part of a tree-cycle installation that will illustrate the process of drawing from available resources to create a finished product. The bags will first be available for purchase at the museum store. Starting in November, the bags will also be available at Harveys retailers and www.seatbeltbags.com.
