October 13, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
October 13th, 2006 (London, UK) – The Fox Poker Club (www.foxpokerclub.com) has made further applications to the Gambling Commission for Certificates of Consent for another venue in London and elsewhere in the UK. The Fox Poker Club is therefore now seeking the necessary planning permissions from local authorities. This makes the total number of four applications lodged with the Gambling Commission by the Fox Poker Club. Initially, the original site has been refused the necessary planning to move forward so the FPC management is considering all the options available to them with this site.
Once the Certificates of Consent are issued, they will be able to apply for casino licenses which will be restricted to offering card room games of equal chance for the venues. Chris North, one of the founders, said: “This is the only legal way we can run a dedicated Poker Club for fellow poker enthusiasts on a sound commercial footing.”
In the meantime, The Fox Poker Club website will be re-launched in October and will enable players to pre register for membership ensuring regularly updates on how the applications are proceeding (www.foxpokerclub.com).
Whilst the applications are being processed, the Fox Club, the Brother club of the FPC, will be open for corporate events and poker tutorials. Please Visit www.foxclublondon.com for more details.
