Stuttgart – Thieme announces the introduction of the free service, “SYNFACT of the month”. Since the August issue of “SYNFACTS”, editors have been selecting some of the most compelling contributions to the journal for “SYNFACT of the month”. Access to the new service is available to users free-of-charge via Thieme-connect (www.thieme-connect.com).

Complimentary content on “SYNFACTS” is located next to the word 'free'. Users have the option to either view content as HTML or to download a PDF file to their desktop. The current issue features four complimentary articles.

The new service addresses the needs of the synthetic chemist in both academia and in industry. Chemists, involved in R&D, medicinal chemistry, university laboratories and/or teaching, strive to stay informed about the ongoing changes in their field. Various services, offered by Thieme-connect, including “SYNFACT of the month”, have been developed to cater to such needs.

Recognized as a user-friendly resource that keeps synthetic chemists at the forefront regarding important developments in their field, “SYNFACTS” provides articles and overviews of the most compelling trends in synthetic chemistry. "SYNFACTS” enlists experts in the field to pre-screen and select from the vast amount of primary literature in order to alert the practicing chemist to the most interesting developments in synthetic chemistry fresh from the pages of the current literature," says Dr. Haak, managing editor of “SYNFACTS”, “SYNLETT”, and “SYNTHESIS”.
