Airvana Licenses OpenClovis For Next Generation Mobile Wireless Broadband Platform

PETALUMA, Calif. and CHELMSFORD, Mass., Oct. 12, 2006 – OpenClovis Inc., provider of the premier open source, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) application service platform for the telecommunications industry, and Airvana, Inc., an innovative provider of mobile broadband infrastructure based on third-generation (3G) wireless packet data, today announced that Airvana will incorporate the OpenClovis Application Service Platform (ASP) as part of its next generation IP-based broadband wireless voice and data network architecture.

Modules may be selected to best match the application and platform requirements. The OpenClovis ASP can be distributed across blades, shelves, and even racks, creating a seamless high availability platform and system management environment across heterogeneous network element building blocks.
