RALEIGH, N.C. – Wake County Citizens’ Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) has announced that the group will tour West View Elementary School in Johnston County Oct. 5th at 3 p.m. West View Elementary is located at 11755 Cleveland Road, Garner, NC. The committee is conducting the tour to assess construction, design and planning methods of Johnston County Public Schools, as reference information in its own recommendations for Wake County Public Schools.

“An important component of our work is to look at the success other school systems have had with their facility planning,” said John Mabe, committee co-chair. “We hope that this trip to West View will give us some additional data and perspectives that we can use to improve our recommendations.”

The committee generally meets at various schools around the county, the next meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Lacy Elementary School located at 1820 Ridge Rd. in Raleigh. The 13-member committee is chaired by Mabe and local businesswoman Billie Redmond.
