Australian web development and hosting service, interVations, today announced it had acquired Carl Bratcher Internet Services (CBIS).

interVations Managing/Creative Director, Jason Fenton, said it had always been his ambition to expand and, in today’s competitive market, this acquisition presented his company with huge opportunities to grow further.

"CBIS is a strong fit with our current business and has a similar culture to interVations,” Mr Fenton said.

Carl Bratcher, former owner of CBIS, which was launched in September 1996, said that his existing customers would benefit from the skills that interVations would bring, such as innovative internet and print solutions.

He went on to say that CBIS was built around dedicated client support and with that in mind, CBIS spent a great deal of time vetting prospective purchasers of its business.

“interVations was the only company that met the standards we strove to achieve during the ten years we supplied Internet services,” he said.

Over the past year, interVations’ business has grown by nearly 50 percent, thanks in part to the worldwide strong growth in online services. In 2007, interVations will be celebrating its 10th anniversary.
