Chico, CA…The MSPAlliance (www.mspalliance.com), the only international association for the Managed Services industry, today announced the launch of a major initiative to help reach and educate the end-user consumer on the benefits of using managed services. The initiative will be recognized by several of the MSPAlliance’s members, including Intel, HP, EDS, Best Buy For Business, New England Data Service JPMerc & Co. and others. The initiative’s objective is to help the buying public gain a greater understanding of the managed services industry and its benefits to companies of all sizes. Companies can contract with Managed Services Providers (MSPs) for a wide range of outsourced services, ranging from desktop computer management to more complex services such as enterprise data storage and information security.
“NEDS is very happy to be at the forefront of educating end-users on the benefits of strategic outsourcing and managed service. The advantage of utilizing managed services is still unknown to many business managers. This program will go a long way towards helping business managers save money and manage their technology smarter” said Craig Valentine Brenner, Chief Executive Officer of New England Data Services.
Joseph P. Mercadante, Founder and CEO of JPMerc & Co. added, “at JPMerc, we have built our business around the managed services model. We have demonstrated the incontrovertible value of the MSP model within our customer base; but for those who are not yet taking advantage of managed services, a good deal of confusion remains. Aside from those who stand to benefit from confusion and obfuscation, properly educating business stakeholders is clearly in everyone’s best interest.”
The goal of the MSPAlliance is to educate the end-user consumer on the business value associated with using an MSP for corporate IT governance. “With the current onslaught of state, local, federal and international regulations on IT, it is becoming more and more difficult to manage the complexities and liabilities associated with IT. This is one reason professional MSPs are becoming as essential and beneficial as corporate CPAs and attorneys for businesses both large and small.” said Celia Weaver, Co-Founder and Vice President of the MSPAlliance.
Several MSPAlliance market vertical committees and advisory board members located throughout North America and internationally, will work to effectively communicate with potential customers and product vendors.
The following MSPAlliance Members have publicly pledged their support to this initiative.
• Intel
• HP
• RSA Security
• Best Buy For Business
• Konica Minolta
• EDS
• Siemens
• Symantec
• New England Data Services (NEDS)
• JPMerc & Co.
