EAWebz reopens the Sem-Server Network Chat

São Paulo, September 28th of 2006:

Long ago, at 1998, SSNCHAT was born as a server for friends to get together, and had a couple users for about 6 months. In this server the EWim project, an instant messenger that supports IRCd protocol, was initiated.

After 1 year, SSNCHAT was reaching an average of 500 concurrent users. At the end of 2002 it was above the 2M users.

At the end of 2004 the SSNChat project was stopped, due to lack of staff. The sources of contribuitions was above the needed for the project to run.

EAWebz decided to close the SSNCHAT down for a couple months and go look for another team and another technologies to support it.

Today it is ready, now with self support and its own servers and webchat.

SSNCHAT is starting today the trainning of the new staff that will take care of the new SSNCHAT, and developing the new version of EWim, that is one of the top 5 stars downloads at Windows Market Place.
