The Aedeas Group Expands Consulting Practice with Appointment of Michael Paek to the Role of Senior Managing Financial Consultant.

Los Angeles— The Aedeas Group's consulting practice announced today that it is now offering financial services including accounting, lead tax, estate, and investment services to its global client base.

Building on its successful platform of full service technology, business, management consulting services, the new financial services division is aimed at helping clients in various sectors structure and implement solutions to challenges and opportunities worldwide. The variety, breadth, and depth of the projects are made unique by each client’s specific needs, but clients choose the firm for its global reach, collaborative nature, and nimble execution.

Michael Paek is serving as the groups Managing Financial Consultant and joins the Aedeas Group from Deloitte & Touche, LLP, an international Big 4 public accounting firm, where he served as a Lead Tax Consultant. In his role there, Michael focused on servicing Fortune 500 clients in the high-tech & commercial real-estate industries.

Prior to Deloitte & Touche, LLP, Michael worked at BDO Seidman, LLP, an international public accounting firm that specializes in middle-market clientele. There, Michael planned and performed audits for private, public, and IPO clientele. During his tenure, he specialized in high-tech, bio-tech, and commercial real-estate investment companies poised for rapid growth. Further, he was instrumental in helping his de-listed clients complete audits under tight SEC deadlines to re-list on public exchanges.

Prior to joining BDO Seidman, LLP, Michael served in various financial consultative roles with the Precept Group, a Human Resources Consulting Firm. During his tenure, he planned, and performed a comprehensive analysis of the organizations internal controls. This analysis led to an audited report on the robustness of internal controls that enabled the organization to procure key relationships with major health care reporting agencies.

Michael has led financial service projects for clients including Hollis-Eden Pharmaceuticals (Ticker:HEPH), Ligand Pharmaceuticals Inc. (LGND), Sperry Van Ness, Ingram Micro (IM), Biolase Technology, Inc. (BLTI), Smith Micro Software Inc. (SMSI), Ticketmaster, Match.com, Evite.com, Maguire Properties Inc. (MPG), G&L Realty Corp., Metrocities Mortgage Corp.

Michael's professional interests involve implementing financial operating solutions for clients in high-tech, bio-tech, and commercial real-estate to achieve their goals of rapid growth. Michael holds a M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
