Auto-Graphics Inc. Appoints Mary E. Jackson as Product Manager

POMONA, CA. – Auto-Graphics, Inc. (AUGR.PK), a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for over 35 years, today announced the appointment of Mary E. Jackson as Product Manager for AGent Resource Sharing™. Jackson brings over three decades of library experience to help develop and shape the direction of the AGent™ platform to better meet the evolving needs of the modern library.Jackson is an internationally recognized authority on interlibrary loan, document delivery, portal applications in libraries and resource sharing issues. She has published over 100 books, articles, reports, books reviews and columns; is regularly consulted by libraries, consortia, and networks; and has given presentations and workshops in the U.S., Canada and over 15 other countries. Jackson managed the 2002-04 Assessing ILL/DD Services study, which confirmed the service effectiveness of user-initiated resource sharing operations in academic and public libraries in the U.S. and Canada. That methodology has also been used by medical libraries in the U.S., and by academic, public and special libraries in Australia and the Nordic countries.

Prior to joining Auto-Graphics, Jackson spent 13 years with the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) in Washington, DC in a variety of roles, most recently as the LibQUAL+® Services Manager and the Director of Collections and Access Programs where she managed activities that facilitated new and expanding roles for ARL libraries to engage in the transformations affecting research and undergraduate and graduate education. Prior to her affiliation with ARL, Jackson managed the Interlibrary Loan Department and served in other positions at the University of Pennsylvania Libraries in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
