THE FEVERED BRAIN OF RADIOMIKE DELIVERS FIRST PODCAST

(Austin, TX, 24 September 2006): After five years of producing an Internet radio show that musicians consistently contribute to and avidly listen to, RadioMike, aka Mike Perazzetti, has finally produced his first podcast. The podcasts can now be subscribed to via RSS and downloaded and streamed directly from the Listen page at his web site, thefeveredbrainofradiomike.com. He would have provided this service a lot sooner but he just couldn’t afford the required licensing fees until he raised the money to pay ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC in an unusual way.

He finally raised those preliminary fees with the help of the very musicians and friends he promotes in his shows and on his web site. "When everyone found out what the initial goal was, they all pitched in. I couldn't believe it." Before the days of Myspace, over five years ago, RadioMike treated every single musical artist and email lister as a friend, and still does. "I can't fake this stuff. I hang out with musicians. They ARE my friends, and I play my friends in my show, and I am very appreciative of the support they have shown me and the show.

This is neither the beginning nor the end of an era for RadioMike. He emphasizes that he didn't get to podcasting or making improvements to his show in a vacuum, alone. From the friends that encouraged him to produce a show to the friends that helped him with the web site at the back end and continue to help, to the musicians that find his show and send him music and everyone who eagerly awaits a new show with a completely eclectic mix of musical genres with a little commentary, they ALL help to make the show what it is, what it has become, and what it means to everyone. "I stand on the shoulders of some incredibly talented and encouraging giants who continue to amaze me with their talent and their suggestions," he admits.

The future of The Fevered Brain Of RadioMike will include the obviously wider distribution net that podcasting provides, but it will also mean interviews from the artists that stop by his studio on their way to a gig in the area as well as the ongoing Hall-Of-Fame Page and Tribute Musical Mixes of those that continue to support the show financially to help pay for the ongoing licensing fees as well as the equipment improvements to upgrade the quality of the show and provide his listeners with even more and better programming.
