Patricia: So how do you guys meet?

Hinder: Blower and Cody met in college and I was in a cover band and they threw a house party and I was one of the bands and that’s how I met Cody and I kept running into him at house party’s and he threw one himself one day and I walked past and saw all these guitars and I was like, “dude you play?” and he said, “yeah, I play” we got together. These two guys came out of no where they just showed up one day I don’t know. Yeah that’s how we got started.

Patricia: Describe your sound?

Hinder: Our sound, we like big rock not any of the songs that we have sound the same like a plethora of songs, very diverse not one of the songs sound the same I don’t know we like the big 80’s Arena Rock.

Patricia: Do you guys do a lot of acoustic?

Hinder: Yes we do a lot of acoustic.

Tagworld: Your album went Gold. Tell us a little about your album.

Hinder: The album “Extreme Behavior” was written in Vancouver and Oklahoma City and was recorded in Vancouver so, fuck dude I don’t know what to say, all the songs on “Extreme Behavior” are just straight ahead fun Rock n’ Roll songs. Lyrically they’re all very simple, they all tell a very good story. One of my favorite tracks off of “Extreme Behavior” is called “Forever 21” it’s just a fun, nasty, dirty rock song about a one night stand. The guy gets laid doesn’t get her name, doesn’t care if she gets his it’s just kind of a good time, I don’t know it’s our goal with, “Extreme Behavior” to bring back that fun, that Rock N’ Roll sound.

Tagworld: Tell us about your first single “Get Stoned”.

Hinder: “Get Stoned” to the regular pothead would think its just about getting stoned, but it’s a little bit deep then that, it’s actually about a relationship girl that you have a amazing sex with and she also bitches at you and you guys fight all the time but the good sex outweighs all that so you can’t really get rid of her.

Tagworld: Tell us about your second single, “Lips of an Angel”

Hinder: “Lips of an Angel” is about an ex-girlfriend calling you while your current girlfriend is in the other room and your kind of trying to be quiet so she doesn’t hear you. A lot of people can relate to it, I didn’t think a lot people would though relate to it, but the more exposure it gets the more people come up to you and they’re like, “Thank You for Lips of an Angel,” it’s pretty crazy.

Tagworld: Is this from an experience that you had?

Hinder: Yeah its actually from personal experience I had myself (Austin Walker), but I told Cody about it while we were writing the album and he came up with the progression and I was kinda joking around like, “Honey why you calling me” and the song just basically wrote itself from true life experiences.

Patricia: What’s it like touring with Chevelle, Hoobastank, and Nickelback?

Hinder: It’s crazy touring with the bands that I’ve actually bought CD’s for you know, I’ve bought all their albums and now we get to tour with them it’s pretty surreal for myself.

Patricia: Who’s your favorite act that you’re on tour with?

Hinder: Out of those three? I’d have to say Nickelback because there live show is awesome there’s pyrotechnics and all kinds of stuff going on.

Patricia: what’s your favorite place to play?

Hinder: Man, Ft. Wayne Indiana, Cincinnati, Texas, you know that song “God Bless Texas?” yeah he blessed Texas.

Patricia: What about Oklahoma do you guys miss Oklahoma?

Hinder: I like Oklahoma, the thing about playing in Oklahoma, since were from Oklahoma it’s like friends and family there and it’s just so chaotic so we don’t really get a chance to experience how it really would be, you know when were out down in Texas we get a chance to party.
