Royal Cruiser Super Luxury VOLVO Bus Service : West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, Bhutan launched

To meet the growing demands for comfortable and efficient long distance bus travel, Kaushik Logistics in collaboration with West Bengal Surface Transport Corporation Limited, a Government of West Bengal Undertaking, has lined up air-conditioned Super Luxury Volvo Bus Service from Kolkata to various business and tourist destinations in the East, North and North east India.

In a fitting launch ceremony at the Salt Lake Stadium, the Minister of Transport & Sports, Government of West Bengal, Sri Subhash Chakraborty today formally inaugurated the Royal Cruiser service from Kolkata. Initially this service will run on the following routes:
Kolkata-Siliguri-Coochbehar-Dhubri
Kolakata-Siliguri-Jaigaon
Kolkata-Asansol-Dhanbad-Bokaro
Kolkata-Durgapur-Asansol-Dhanbad-Dehri-on-Son-Varanasi

Royal Cruiser service is being brought in by the Kolkata based logistics and multimodal transportation company, Kaushik Logistics. Set up in 1999, Kaushik Logistics is involved in total freight management of transportation of consignments backed by experienced personnel and modern tracking systems. Their multimodal transportation services include freight forwarding, customs, and port clearance at Kolkata & Haldia port. The company has premium clients like Hindusthan Lever, Tata Group, Bhushan Steel and Mitshubishi and more than 150 Trailers are in operation.

The fully air-conditioned Volvo buses are Euro-III compliant and have kneeling mechanism for the benefit of aged and physically challenged persons. They are fitted with pneumatically operated doors. These buses are provided with 2 x 2 pull/push back (115 degrees) seats. There are only 45 seats with individual reading lamp to each seat. Superior interior panel, tinted glass windows, large luggage space (9 Cu mts) in 3 compartments add to the overall comfort of the interior. Powerful air suspension, without any noise, vibration or jerks gives one the feeling of cruising. The buses are fitted with TFT widescreen backed by Digital Audio-Video system. Trained attendants on board cater to every need of the passengers.
