Newcomer Robert Pierre Performs at Rock the Universe

Nashville, TN - thinkaboutit records recording artist Robert Pierre gave festival attendees a taste of his upcoming debut album, Inside Out, at a special performance on September 9th at Rock the Universe, held at Universal Studios Florida(r) theme park in Orlando. Robert was introduced by Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter and television personality Al Denson, who personally invited Robert to share a song during his set at the festival. The energetic and articulate Robert Pierre performed his song "Possible," encouraging concert-goers with the message that anything is possible with God.

"Not only can Robert sing, he truly cares for people and wants them to know the Lord," comments Denson, who discovered the young man's talent when he was invited to lead worship at Robert Pierre's school. "He is so passionate about his faith."

Although only 13 years old, Robert Pierre connects to both his peers and their parents with a passionate voice and a message of hope, filling the recent void in the tween market. His album, Inside Out, which releases November 7, 2006 on thinkaboutit records, touches on themes of God's love, the difference one person can make and walking by faith, as well as tackling the timely discussion of evolution vs. the case for a Creator. The first radio single, "Eternal," goes for adds on stations nationwide on September 29th. The CD, produced by Robert White Johnson (Celine Dion, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Zant), The Stitts Brothers (Chris Tomlin, Al Green) and Al Denson, reflects a young man with a strong desire to develop a music ministry to youth and music lovers alike.

The Rock the Universe performance is just another way in which God has allowed Robert Pierre to share his gift of music since his musical journey began in the fall of 2005 when what started out as a simple holiday gift recording for friends and family quickly caught the attention of Robert's local Christian radio station and beyond. Within days, and without a promotional team, the CD gained the favor of hundreds of local and regional stations nationwide. There were so many requests for Robert's music that his family decided to post it online for 10 days of free downloading, and thousands of downloads were recorded. This overwhelming interest in his music encouraged Robert's passionate desire to use his God-given gift to reach out to his peers with the message of the Gospel. Now, with the assistance of a team of seasoned industry veterans, as well as his loving family behind him, Robert is set to impact youth around the country with Inside Out.

Robert Pierre's Inside Out will be distributed in the CBA market by Provident-Integrity Distribution and by Sony BMG in the general market.

Rock the Universe is a two-night concert event held annually at Universal Studios Florida(r) theme park, where concert performances take place on three stages inside the park. Performers at the 2006 event included Newsboys, Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Relient K, GRITS, Skillet, Superchic[k] and Al Denson.
