“The Club” at the Good Times Emporium in Somerville is host to a night of hope and benefit for local area resident Denige Trial. With doors opening at 8:00pm on September 30th, Boston area radio pros, musicians, fans and patrons are joining together to help Denige Trial in her deepest time of need. Diagnosed with brain cancer, Denige has undergone surgery to remove half of the tumor found in her brain. With expenses in the thousands above the 45 percent coverage of her insurance policy, Denige is up against a tough situation to continue her battle with the life threatening cancer.Your fifteen dollar donation at the door will give you access to a rare appearance by national recording artist Fred Shafer and his band as they headline their first show since entering the studio to work on their upcoming CD release. Also donating their time on stage is the band Leaving Eden and Somerville’s own Sex Magic. The concert event is just the beginning of the fund raising opportunities that patrons can get involved in.
Offering all they can are businesses and musicians from around the country. A raffle is open to all who attend with chances to win tickets donated by East Coast Ticket in Boston for Celtics, Patriots and Bruins games. Local area musicians and now international touring act Staind has donated an autographed guitar from the current tour and donations of autographed CD’s, merchandise and more have been pouring in from various national acts heard across New England radio. Radio station WAAF’s morning show producer Spaz is dedicating all his off air efforts to the cause and hopes listeners of the station will take this benefit to heart and attend.
