2006 Annual Meeting
North Carolina Nursing Organization Gathers To Discuss
Industry Trends And Objectives

RALEIGH, N.C. – Sherry H. Owens, president of The North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists, has announced that the NCANA 2006 annual meeting will be held on Sept. 22 – 24, at the Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The meeting will host a variety of guest speakers to discuss topics relevant to improving and gaining a higher understanding of anesthetic management, industry development, and patient safety initiatives. Guest speakers will include:

Dr. Judith Briles
Bill Hartland, Ph.D., CRNA
Kasey P. Bensky, CRNA, MSNA
R. Bradley Thomason, III, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Mark Odden, MBA, CRNA, BSN, ARNP
Caleb Rogovin, CRNA, MS, CCRN, CEN
Renae S. Graham, RN, CRNA

Attending licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) can receive up to 18 credits towards continuing education requirements. Continuing education credits are required for all CRNAs to remain licensed in the state of North Carolina.

“Our organization is highly anticipating this year’s annual meeting,” said Owens. “The event will allow current, past and training CRNAs a wonderful opportunity to gain perspective on our industry’s constantly changing challenges and objectives.”
