DI PESCARA AND SAM’S WINE AND SPIRITS CO-HOST NEW WINE PROGRAM

NORTHBROOK, IL (September 2006)-Di Pescara, an Italian Seafood House on Chicago’s North Shore located at 2124 Northbrook Ct., has quickly become the place to test and sample new wines all year long. In the “spirit” of wine, Di Pescara has decided to team up with Sam’s Wine and Spirits, located at 1919 Skokie Valley Rd. to give Alpana’s A-List tasters a discount on their next purchase. Alpana’s A-List is LEYE Corporate Sommelier, Alpana Singh’s choices of $5 glasses of wines, designed to complement each menu item.

The way the new Wine Program works is that each guest will receive a card containing six of Alpana’s selections and each time a guest samples a wine on the card, they will have it stamped. Once you have sampled all six wines, you can take your card to Sam’s and receive 10% off your purchase. What better way to save money than drinking wine!

Among the selection of Wines on Alpana’s A-List are Klipfel Pinot Blanc, Condado Real, Santa Julia Viognier, Vina Alarba, Eguren Protocolo and Domaine du Vieux Chene.

Alpana Singh, Lettuce Entertain You Corporate Sommelier, who has recently been named Best Sommelier by Bon Appetit Magazine, has taken a unique approach to Di Pescara’s Wine Program by picking out her very own, Alpana's A-List. The list contains particular 'gems,' each priced at $5 per glass, designed to complement each menu item, which allows diners to sample wines at an affordable price.

Named “One of the Best New Restaurants of the Year” (Chicago Magazine), Di Pescara is an Italian Seafood House which opened in December 2005. Located on Chicago's esteemed North Shore in the tony Northbrook Court Shopping Center, Di Pescara features Fresh Seafood, Homemade Italian and Steaks prepared by Executive Chef Mychael Bonner. Wines are an integral part of the restaurant's focus, and have been carefully chosen by LEYE Corporate Wine Sommelier Alpana Singh to reach both connoisseurs and casual sippers alike.

The extensive menu of Di Pescara, which is 'a work of art,' is specially designed to reach a wide audience with eclectic tastes. Di Pescara is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
